Acne Eating Tips: Acne Treatment Diet Products & Information

In the myths section of our web site we state that what you eat does not directly effect your skin's acne condition.  This is because there is no proven scientific link between the two after numerous studies.  However, in certain cases, some believe that what you eat actually does affect your acne.  With that, we present the following tip:

Having a healthy diet keeps your body running right. That means that it will be easier to fight off the bacteria that causes acne. If you feel that a certain type of food is causing your acne, you may consult with a Allergy Tester in your area. Some people have recommended trying food supplements such as: retinol, zinc, selenium, vitamin C, evening primrose oil, B vitamins, vitamin E, Chromium and Echinacea.

I have heard of some special diets that are complicated, but supposed to keep acne out. If you feel that this is something you'd try check with your doctor, OR just check with your library. Books are a great source of health and nutrition information.
